One-Shot TTRPG Sessions
A One-Shot is a short, single-session adventure in a role-playing game. Your characters play through the story, and finish everything in one sitting—like a mini-movie or a short story. It’s a fun, easy way to experience gaming without a long-term commitment.

Therapeutic TTRPG FAQs:
Is any prior TTRPG experience needed? Do I need to bring dice and materials?
Not at all! No dice-rolling or rule knowledge is required. We provide premade characters, dice, and pencils for you to use during the game. However, if you have a favorite set of dice, feel free to bring them along! The therapist/Game Master will explain everything and guide the process.
What kinds of skills can Therapeutic TTRPGs build?
Skills include communication, teamwork, problem-solving, assertiveness, resilience, and emotional regulation. The game allows kids and teens to practice these abilities in a low-stakes, supportive setting.
Can this help with anxiety or social struggles?
Yes, therapeutic TTRPGs create "psychological distance" by allowing participants to explore difficult issues through their characters, which helps them engage with challenging topics in a safe way. Many people with anxiety or social difficulties find this approach particularly beneficial, as it offers a comfortable space to address personal struggles without feeling directly exposed.
Who benefits most from Therapeutic TTRPGs?
While anyone can benefit, it’s particularly supportive for:
* Kids and teens resistant to traditional therapy
* Neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, autism, etc.) who thrive with structure and clear rules
* Anyone struggling with social confidence or emotional expression
Can people with a trauma history or are navigating C/PTSD participate?
Yes! We are dedicated to offering a trauma-informed gaming experience. This means creating a safe and supportive environment where players' past trauma is respected and acknowledged. In our therapeutic TTRPG groups, we set clear boundaries, provide content warnings, and ensure that every player feels comfortable and empowered to participate at their own pace. Our goal is to foster personal growth, healing, and connection without triggering past trauma or causing distress. A trauma-informed approach prioritizes safety, consent, and emotional well-being, ensuring the game remains a positive and empowering experience for all participants.
What does a typical session look like?
Sessions usually last 90–120 minutes with a small group (3–6 players) or one-on-one with the therapist. Participants create or select premade characters, play through story-driven scenarios, and pause at times to reflect on in-game events.
